"Creation of the World"

The exhibition will open 30 th of August as part of the Jewish Summer Festival in the Rumbach Synagogue.
The serial work in 14 parts, describes episodes from the 7 days of creation. Each day is represented on two canvases. The size of each canvas is: 1x120m.
The usage of colours, styles and techniques varies.
The first day was done using a painter's knife, colourful brush strokes, in a free abstract style – suggestive of cubism, with a simple round shape to define earth.
The motifs that were painted from the creation of the first day are:
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth... the earth was unformed and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep earth was without form …God said Let there be light"
The second day is almost a blue monochrome painted with a painter's knife. It is a balanced, simplified composition and describes:
"God divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and … called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning'
The third day includes the complicated actions:
"Waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place and let the dry land appear... And God called the dry land Earth and the gathering together of the waters called Seas"
"Let the earth put forth grass herb yielding seed and fruit-tree bearing fruit after its kind"
The actions on this day are described in witty scenery. The water is added and the land came into the view. The plants and flowers are already there scattered all over the place, but still in the making. The shapes are unrefined lines that will turn to reality at any time.
The view is sort of a photo taken by a tourist. The shapes of the fruits etc. are abstracted iconic sketches one can simply trace in the media.
In the fourth day
"And God said 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night…to give light upon the earth… And … made the two great lights the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night and the stars…to give light upon the earth… and to rule over the day and over the night and to divide the light from the darkness."
This day is painted freehand using a painter's knife technique. One side is dedicated to the creation of the sun while the other canvas shows the creation of the moon and the stars.
In the fifth day fish and birds are created and the process is described in colourful outlines on a serene landscape.
"Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven"
The sixth day is devoted to mammals and humans.
"And God said Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind…And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind…And God said Let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over ... all the earth ..And God created man in His own image… male and female created He them… And God blessed them"
The humans are presented by opaque shapes filled with all human colours presenting assortment of people. The mammals around are more definite now, but not yet complete…all are scattered around, waiting that men will take over.
"on the seventh day God finished His work which He had made and He rested "
The seventh day is described with two Star of David fractals. Factrals represent convergence and divergence by darker and lighter arias. But in the seventh day the fractal is flat without motion. It is at rest!
